Le temps ne semble pas avoir de prise sur Akira Takazaki dont les riffs plongent tout droit dans les années 80. Il continue d'en faire des tonnes en solo, c'est souvent très démonstratif mais cela colle assez bien au genre et à l'époque. Côté rythmique, nous avons droit à de bons gros riffs saccadés, nous sommes incontestablement dans le Heavy Metal pur jus. Parfois plus Speed ("Lunatic", "Speed Maniac"), parfois calme ("Don't Know Nothing", "Misleading Man"), parfois plus novatrices ("Crazy Samurai", "Tomorrow is not promised"), souvent Heavy ("Live For The Moment", "Believe It Ot Not" et presque toutes les autres...), LOUDNESS tente de varier les ambiances sans pour autant se détourner de son style.
Musicalement, rien à dire, donc, à condition d'aimer les vieux riffs. Par contre, là où tout s'effondre, c'est du côté du chant. Impossible de supporter les cris aigus de se braillard de Minoru Niihara qui s'apparente à un moustique au creux de l'oreille ! Bien que mixé en retrait, il ruine l'ensemble des compositions. C'est simple : dès que ça chante, on a envie de zapper à la chanson suivante ; et c'est comme ça tout au long de l'album.
