WHISPERING TEARS (FRA) - Carmina Lacrimosa (2001)

Tout au long des huit titres de cet album, une impression de déjà entendu est omniprésente. En effet l'ensemble de ce disque est fortement inspiré par Cradle Of Filth (c'est toujours mieux que Bernard Minet, mais si, vous savez Bioman !). L'influence des Anglais sur "Carmina Lacrimosa" est par trop évidente mais il ne faut pas s'arrêter sur ce point.
De bonne idées émergent de ce disque, il est vrai qu'avec neuf musiciens, les possibilités sont nombreuses (raté, je ne parlais pas de partouze) mais les titres se perdent en conjectures et chaque instrumentiste à tendance à supplanter l'autre dans son intervention. Faire simple aurait pu aider le groupe dans son entreprise mais la simplicité n'est pas l'optique de Whispering Tears.
On voit aussi l'ambition du groupe qui s'attaque à Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart en réochestrant la "Symphony # 25 in Gminor" sur le dernier titre "Die Versuchung Der Tränen" et propose quelque chose d'intéressant.
Ce qui nuit au groupe dans son approche d'une musique complexe, c'est une production calamiteuse, espèce d'infâme bouillie sonore ou il faut tendre l'oreille pour distinguer les instruments. Pour continuer dans cette voie, il va falloir remédier à ce problème car celui-ci risque de devenir gênant à la longue...
