Hormis le live "25 To Life" sortie en 2000, cela faisait 18 ans que Rose Tattoo n'avait pas réalisé d'album studio. C'est long, mais comme le dit le fameux adage "plus c'est long, plus c'est bon". Cette attente n'aura pas été vaine car ce "Pain" c'est du tout bon.
Angry Anderson et Pete Wells ont mis les bouchées doubles pour combler ce vide de 18 années et nous pondre un véritable brûlot de hard 'n' roll. Ils n'ont pas non plus lésiné sur la quantité car ce n'est pas moins de 16 titres que comporte cet album (grosso modo un titre par années d'absence).
Ces 16 chansons sont un concentré de guitares, de rock 'n' roll et de textes juteux "Someone To Fuck", Hard Rockin' Man", One More Drink With The Boys". Ce disque s'écoute un verre de whisky à la main voir carrément la bouteille afin de pénétrer complètement dans l'ambiance que dégage "Pain".
Après 18 ans d'absence, Rose Tattoo était attendu au coin du bush et n'a pas raté son retour pour notre plus grand plaisir.
