Un sample hypnotique et grinçant. Métallique. Puis un riff de guitare plutôt Black qui claque et une batterie qui nous fait rentrer dans nos pénates. Puis c’est une alternance Black et Death, avec un esprit Indus qui se manifeste partout.
Ainsi « A Beautiful Cacrcass » se termine en nous laissant un goût de trop peu dans la bouche. On en veut encore, même si on sait que ce n’est pas bien pour notre santé. Seulement, le choix ne nous appartient plus, alors on attend avec impatience et frénésie les premières notes du morceau suivant. Tient, même si les machines ne sont pas vraiment en avant sur ce morceau là, il transpire de lui un quelque chose d’Indus dans la répétition, la monotonie, la volonté de caser le même riff un peu partout. Est-ce que cela est dérangeant ? Non, au contraire, « Malleus Maleficarum » change et on se retrouver devant ce riff aux consonances Black sans qu’on sache plus le ranger quelque part. pourtant, on sent, on sait, que le morceau n’a rien de vraiment Black. Et c’est là où FUCKTORY-X est bon. Parce qu’ils prennent l’auditeur à contre-pied, toujours. Là où on s’est habitué à des riffs assez rapides, on se retrouve devant « Monster Of Light » et sa lenteur toute relative du début. Introduction envoûtante et riff qui sonne comme ce qu’aurait pu faire un groupe punk. Pourtant, c’est toujours au-delà de ça. Et puis, quand on sait que le groupe excelle dans la violence et l’ambiance de fosse pogotante, ils se permettent de mettre un « O » sur leur disque. Claviers, samples et voix féminine sont les seuls ingrédients auxquels nous avons le droit. Décevant ? Pas le moins du monde parce que le morceau est sublime. Un rien Goth.
FUCKTORY-X, c’est vraiment un groupe à découvrir, pour ceux qui aiment le Metal Extrême et apprécient le mélange des genres et le non cloisonnement. Par contre, le seul reproche que je ferais est sur la voix. Elle est vraiment énorme, pas de doute, et je reste impressionné. Par contre, elle est trop rectiligne durant tout l’album. Des changements auraient été bienvenus de la part de Jésus. Mais bon, c’est aussi ce qui donne ce côté monolithique et indestructible de l’album. Sorte de pavé compact et sans interstice que l’on se prend dans le pif et qui nous fait jubiler.
