Impossible de parler d’ABSURD sans parler des textes. C’est un peu méchant pour les musicos qui, dans un registre Maiden/Trust, sont tout à fait crédibles et dont la variété des styles démontre la polyvalence. L’intro Heavy de “Laisse-toi Aller” et celle, progressive, de “De La Magie Sur Les Tapis” prouvent que le groupe pouvait parfaitement sortir un album “sérieux” et concurrencer certains grands noms.
Oui mais voilà, à un moment, ça chante. Forcément. Et là, on change d’horizon. Fini le chevalier caparaçonné faisant régner la loi sur ses terres ancestrales plongées dans la brume matinale et dont le fier destrier foule le sol… on se retrouve devant le formica jaune et noir du “Caf é des Sports” !
Et c’est drôle. Vachement. “Laisse-toi Aller” donne le ton : ABSURD ne va pas se prendre au sérieux, d’où le nom. Le summum étant atteint avec “Tout Seul Dans Mon Slip” dont l’air est celui de “Que Je T’Aime” de Johnny, mais avec des paroles... hum… différentes, alternant entre le français et le yaourt.
Moins amusante, “Casting” bénéficie d’un refrain accrocheur. Et “L’Albatros” de Baudelaire a un peu de mal à se frayer un chemin parmi autant de bonne humeur.
Côté son, ce n’est pas le top. Mais ce n’est pas facile d’enregistrer au bistrot !
