Fils spirituel de Alice COOPER, Raymz Fiink en a marre des groupes de néo qui font la gueule et philosophent sur la guerre, la pauvreté, etc… Lui ce qu'il veut, c'est s'éclater. Et pour cela, rien de mieux que de fonder un groupe et de replonger dans le Glam US. Ne nous méprenons pas, il ne s'agit pas du Glam tardif de Poison ou autres Bulletboyz, mais du Glam originel à la Vincent Furnier, New York Dolls, Kiss. Et ce n'est pas par hasard que figure sur cet album une reprise très convaincante de "Hard Times".
Comme l'exige cet exercice de style vous ne trouverez pas d'effets numériques complexes, pas de samples, etc. Les compos groovies sont crues et nous réservent quelques bons moments si vous n'avez pas peur de plonger dans les racines du Metal.
On a vite en tête la rengaine de "Runaway" : ça fait du bien de prendre une cure de bonne humeur de temps en temps. Pourtant, et c'est là le paradoxe de FIINKY PIE, on a l'impression que l'on s'amuse davantage que le chanteur. C'est un comble ! Lui qui s'était juré de nous faire retrouver le sourire, il a perdu le sien.
