Neospastics... difficile d'aborder l'analyse de ce disque après écoutes. J'avoue que cet album m'a laissé un sentiment partagé, je pense que la cible de ce groupe ne devrait pas être le metalleux car il ne se laisse pas approcher aussi facilement par des genres assez eloignés du sien, le metalleux est un peu obtu, Shut, j'ai rien dit !
Le choix de Napalm Records fut donc assez osé... Mais je pense que ce disque pourrait avoir son public et finalement peu importe qui l'a signé et quelles sont les raisons qui l'y on poussé.
Essayons de décrire au mieux ce disque vendu comme un croisement entre Marylin Manson et Type O Negative ! Je ne vois pas trop le rapport entre ces groupes et ce "Plasticlove" mis à part quelques intonations de voix qui rappelle Manson et quelques sonorités qui rappellent Type O mais sans plus. Neospastics nous sert une musique assez soft quelque peu atmosphérique où le duo voix/piano est le plus souvent mis en avant. Le style pourrait être un mix de Rock Alternatif sous fond de goth wave endormi et en aucuns cas sombre.
La production est satisfaisante et les arrangements simplistes, tout est tranquille, trop léché et soft, ça manque d'énérgie et de départs fougueux inattendus qui peuvent se déclencher et partir en vrilles à tous moments...
En conclusion, je dirai que ce disque ne m'a pas franchement inspiré (peut être leur en manquait-il ?) mais mon sentiment reste tout de même partagé car quand je me penche sur une chronique j'essaie de mettre mes gouts de côtés pour analyser au mieux le groupe dans le style qu'il pratique... Et là, je ne sais pas... Mi figue, mi raisin, mon coeur balance, le mieux est encore d'aller sur leur site pour y écouter des extraits afin de vous y forger votre propre opinion !
