Avec un nom et une pochette de la sorte bien cradingue, on est généralement en droit de s’attendre à un pur groupe de Death old-school tout droit sorti des années 90 ! Mais là, non, surprise… ce n’est pas du tout le cas !
Avec ce 3ème album, « Corps Défiguré », de la traduction du nom du groupe bohémien, vous l’aurez compris, nous invite donc à un voyage où Grind de la première heure côtoie Death et où quelques relents de Punk sont mixés au broyeur pour nous pondre au final une bonne bouillie sonore ! Une sorte de Ratos Do Porao en plus agressif et brutal, certes, sauf que RDP, c’était bien !
D’une part, d’un point de vue strictement musical, cet album contient pas mal de déchets techniques, à l’image d’un son de batterie proche d’une poubelle (son de caisse claire faiblard) et d’un chant criard assez lassant !
Le son est vraiment brut, même si Corps Défiguré peut se targuer de s’être attribuée une production plus qu’honnête !
Mais où sont les chansons ? Les compositions sont redondantes et criantes de linéarité et de platitude. Les titres s’enchaînent et se ressemblent indéniablement les uns les autres. Si ce disque était sorti 15 ans auparavant, peut-être aurait-il eu son petit succès, or, d’autres groupes sont passés par là et ont posé les premières pierres de l’édifice. On a irrémédiablement tendance à décrocher vers la fin … bon, j’ai abdiqué et rendu les armes avant, je l’avoue !! Mais, sous la torture, quand même!
Il faut avoir du cran pour se farcir d’une traite les 20 morceaux qui composent ce gloubiboulga, on ne retient pas grand-chose de ces 20 titres qui ne sont pas accrocheurs pour un sou !
Le Noise, c’est marrant, mais encore faut-il que celui-ci soit bien « exécuté » !
Cette affaire là n’est guère convaincante !En tout état de cause, je n’ai pas eu l’impression de passer à côté de quelque chose !
S’il y a bien un conseil que je peux vous donner, si vous me le permettez : passez loin de Disfigured Corpse, il n’y a vraiment pas de temps à perdre…
