Après une si longue carrière et tant d’albums, quoi de neuf du côté de STYX ? Rien !
Seuls les fans de vieilleries pourront peut-être s’y retrouver avec ce Big Band Theory peu glorieux. Quelle tristesse de voir ces musiciens de talent se transformer en orchestre de mariage le temps (trop long) d’un album ! Ainsi les voilà en train d’égrainer une à une les chansons des 60’s et 70’s qu’ils aiment.
Bien sûr l’interprétation et la production sont impeccables mais c’est une bien maigre consolation lorsqu’on écoute cet opus de reprises. Car, si l’on résume, ce sont de vieilles chansons interprétées par un vieux groupe essayant de coller le plus possible à l’ambiance de l’époque. Alors, quel intérêt ? Je ne sais pas !
