Pas de double-pédale, pas de cri, pas même de guitare saturée... il faut beaucoup d’ouverture d’esprit pour rattacher AM’GANESHA’N au Metal.
Pour leur troisième album, les Français confirment leur intérêt pour les ambiances planantes. Ils nous invitent aux confins du Tibet et de l’Inde pour une aventure émotionnelle peu commune. Car, en dépit des influences multi-culturelles, le voyage est surtout intérieur : il s’agit de se plonger au plus profond de soi-même, dans un parcours initiatique, spirituel et mystique. Bon, avec un type patient comme moi, ça ne marche pas super. Mais si vous êtes végétarien, que vous portez des tricots Afghans, que vous vouez un culte à Noël Mamère et que vous militez dans une demi-douzaine d’associations, vous aurez peut-être une chance d’aimer AM’GANESHA’N.
Ce mélange de voix angéliques et d’instruments traditionnels est adroit, mais il n’est pas aisé de se plonger dans cette ambiance, ni d’y demeurer pendant la bonne heure que dure cet album. Il est évident que les amateurs de cigarettes-qui-font-rire seront aidés dans leur démarche.
Eleftheria est incontestablement une expérience unique et louable, mais elle ne concerne qu’un public initié.
Ah si : pour jouer à Cthulhu, c’est top !
