ZEBARGES est un groupe crée en 1999 à Troyes, composé de deux personnes innommables étant donnés qu’elles changent de nom à chaque enregistrement, ainsi qu’une boite à rythme qui semble compter comme un « musicien » à part entière. On peut compter en tout dans leur discographie deux démos, deux splits et deux albums. Leur style de musique ? Du vlöbeurghhh Metal, un nom que les deux membres du groupe ont inventé de toutes pièces.
C’est en cette année 2007 que le duo de ZEBARGES nous propose son second album. Il s’agit ici d’une autoproduction et il faut remarquer que le son, pour une autoproduction, n’est pas si mauvais. Comme pour l’album précédent, nous avons ici un chant, une basse et une boite à rythme mais un ajout de guitare a été fait sur deux des vingt-et-un morceaux de cet album, bien que le duo disait que jamais il n’y aurait autre chose dans leur musique que le chant, la basse et la boite à rythme. Le premier de ces deux morceaux, « Fafanarcho Vs Anarfacho » décrit les extrêmes politiques et le second, « La Police Des Rêves », est un morceau plutôt acoustique, loin des habitudes du duo.
On a une nouvelle fois l’empreinte d’une description de la société actuelle de façon négative avec cet album, tout comme dans le précédent, et le tout en français (bien utile pour ceux qui ne comprennent pas l’anglais). La musique, ainsi que les paroles, a de quoi dérouter les oreilles non-habituées aux exercices d’un groupe comme ZEBARGES mais on finit par s’y faire, après avoir pris la peine d’écouter l’album plusieurs fois car il est très difficile d’en comprendre toute l’étendue à la première écoute malgré la durée restreinte de chacune des pistes. Nous avons droit à un réenregistrement de l’un des extraits de leur première démo, « Macho Disco » ainsi qu’une reprise d’un titre du groupe LES COLLABOS qui se nomme « JP 2 ».
Au niveau des paroles, comme déjà dit, tout est en français, les thèmes abordés sont la religion (« La Véritable Histoire de Jésus Cultosaure ») ainsi que l’alcool (« Vivement Novembre »). Mais attention, les paroles sont à prendre au millième degré!
Au sujet du titre de l’album, il faut savoir que « Too Big For Love » est également le titre d’une des compositions de cet album et qu’il s’agit d’une improvisation totale. Pari risqué mais plutôt réussi.
En somme, un album très déroutant mais qui plaira à celles et ceux qui ont su apprécié ce que le duo a déjà fait de par le passé. Les fans de Punk Metal devraient y trouver également leur compte néanmoins, il sera difficile pour ZEBARGES de conquérir de nouveaux fans.
